With a huge revival in florals across all areas of design, there is no better time to be celebrating one of the most beautiful and colourful events in London. The Chelsea Flower Show attracts visitors from across the world alongside celebrities and royals. Located at the royal Chelsea Hospital this event runs from the 22nd May. This years show consists of 10 show gardens and 16 smaller inspiring projects.
To celebrate here at the DCCH, ‘The Big Bloom’ has provided a number of creative and brilliant installations and experiences. The giant architectural forms of flowers that have bloomed into a playful display of pretty colours welcoming visitors in from the front of the building. Handmade from wall-coverings sourced from the showrooms themselves and suspended high on poles for a dramatic effect.
Real flowers are planted in wheelbarrows by Rob Van Helden, one of London’s top florists having worked for clients including Sir Elton John and Pierce Brosnan, as well as royal weddings, film premieres and charity events... We even had some fun creating abstract installations for our own Showroom windows. Take a visit before it ends!
